The annual Anita McBride Alumni Mentoring Luncheon will return to York U on Tuesday, Oct. 13 to connect Faculty of Environmental Studies (FES) alumni with current students.
The event will feature four Masters of Environmental Studies (MES) alumni panelists, and several alumni mentors who will speak to current students about their career trajectories and experiences in the program.
Following the panel, students will have an opportunity to network with alumni panelists and mentors over lunch. A new feature this year is designated ‘talking spaces’ where alumni and students with similar expertise and research interest can connect.
Participants will also learn about the latest developments at FES from Dean Noël Sturgeon.
The 2015 Anita McBride Alumni Mentoring Luncheon takes place from 11:45am to 2pm at the Health Nursing & Environmental Studies building, room 140.
The event is named in honour of retired staff member Anita McBride, former director of the Faculty’s Office of Student & Academic Services.
