York University President and Vice-Chancellor Mamdouh Shoukri issues the following announcement to the University community:
I am pleased to announce the reappointment of Jeff O’Hagan to a second five-year term as Vice-President Advancement. The reappointment was approved by the Board of Governors, effective Oct. 1.
As Vice-President Advancement, O’Hagan has demonstrated success in creating and leading the Division of Advancement and in achieving the division’s goals over the last five years, including the planning and launch of Impact: The Campaign for York University. His time at York has built on and extended a strong record of principal and major gift fundraising and advancement leadership in the healthcare, research and education sectors.
Prior to his appointment, he served as Chief Executive Officer of the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre Foundation, where he led all aspects of the foundation and the $470-million Campaign for Sunnybrook, and he previously held senior fundraising roles at The University of Western Ontario, including Western’s Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, and at the St. Mary’s General Hospital Foundation in Waterloo. He began his career in wealth management and estate services at the Royal Bank of Canada and graduated with a BA from the University of Western Ontario.
Please join me in congratulating Jeff on his reappointment, and wishing him well as he undertakes his second term.
