York University's Department of Visual Art & Art History presents Ne touche pas, a spectacular open house featuring hundreds of works in print media, drawing, painting, photography, sculpture and interdisciplinary art, created by the rising young talent in the department.
The open house exhibition, running from 6 to 9pm on March 8, transforms the entire Joan & Martin Goldfarb Centre for Fine Arts into one giant art party. Works will be on view in studios on all four floors throughout the building, as well as in the Gales Gallery in the Accolade West Building.
More than $7,000 in prizes will be awarded to student artists. The awards ceremony takes place in the lobby at 7pm. Music students will help set the scene with live performances. Refreshments will be provided.
Ne touche pas is coordinated by Professors Zeke Moores and Marc Couroux in collaboration with the Visual Art Student Association.
Admission to this open house is free and all are welcome to attend.
The exhibit runs until March 16. Guests can visit the gallery Monday to Thursday, from 10:30am to 4pm.
