Testing of the LCD Emergency Messaging system to take place Monday night

The Office of Emergency Preparedness, Community Safety Department will be conducting testing of the LCD Emergency Messaging System. Testing will take place Monday, March 13, starting at 8pm and will continue throughout the evening. During this time you will see various emergency messages appearing on the screens, including Fire, Evacuation, Shelter in Place and Weather Emergency. Please disregard these messages. You do not need to take any action.

In the event of an actual emergency during the testing, we will use the Public Address system to advise the community; testing will cease and valid emergency messaging will be displayed on the screens preceded by the phrase - “THIS IS NOT A TEST".

We do not anticipate any disruption to normal campus activities during the testing.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding the testing, please contact Kathy Branton, manager, Office of Emergency Preparedness, Community Safety Department at ext. 55258.
