More than 50 people helped to celebrate the grand re-opening of York University’s newly renovated Keele campus Bookstore on March 31, an occasion marked with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, guest speakers, store discounts and more.
The renovations included an extensive overhaul of both the upper and lower levels of the campus’s main Bookstore.
Speakers at the event included: author and English Professor B.W. Powe; Gary Brewer, vice-president finance & administration; Steve Glassman, director of York’s Bookstores and Printing Services; Founders College Master Mauro Buccheri, who is also a professor in the Department of Languages, Literatures & Linguistics in the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Professional Studies; and York President Emerita Lorna Marsden. Hosting the event was Richard Francki, assistant vice-president, Campus Services & Business Operations.
