Nominations open for the Murray G. Ross Awards

The Scholarships and Bursaries in the Office of the Registrar is now accepting nominations for the Fall/Winter 2016-2017 Murray G. Ross Award, one of York University's most prestigious graduating accolades.

The Murray G. Ross Award was established by the Student Council in 1962 in honour of York’s first president and is presented annually to a graduating undergraduate student for scholarship and outstanding contributions to student life. The recipient of this award will receive a medal at their convocation ceremony and a notation will appear on his/her transcript.

Candidates must be submitted by their home faculty; each faculty is asked to put forth at least one nomination. Nomination packages must include a nomination letter that includes a detailed summary outlining the student’s academic performance and contribution to University/Faculty activities and no more than three letters of recommendation.

Please forward your nomination package(s) by Friday, April 28 to Karen Warner, c/o Scholarships and Bursaries, W223 Bennett Centre for Student Services. Questions about the process can be sent to Karen Warner at kwarner@yorku.ca.
