The Department of Mathematics & Statistics at York University will host learning sessions to help inspire mathematics in young minds.
Since 2016, York’s Department of Mathematics & Statistics has hosted the Canadian Math Kangaroo Contest, which is held in March of every year. This contest encourages the fun and creativity behind mathematics at an early age and is geared toward students in Grades 1 to 12.
The learning sessions, which will aim to begin mid-January until mid-March, will help participants learn the skills needed to solve a diverse collection of fun, challenging and dynamic mathematical problems.
Learning sessions are free and registration is now open. For more details or to register, visit mathstats.info.yorku.ca/math-kangaroo.
