Personal brand the subject of next Career Growth presentation

The School of Continuing Studies at York University presents the second instalment of its Career Growth series on Tuesday, Nov. 14, from 6:30 to 8:30pm in Room 203, Accolade West Building.

The featured presentation will be given by Sean Mullin, a Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) of Ontario student representative. He has been a professional recruiter for six years, promoting the accounting profession and advising academic pathways to achieve the CPA designation. He is experienced in delivering professional development workshops and helping students bridge the gap between academic and professional life.

In his presentation, Mullin will discuss personal branding and why it matters now more than ever before. He will explain how to develop, use and maintain one's personal brand with specific examples and anecdotes. Listeners will gain insights into how good personal branding influences the hiring process, is key to cohesion within one's organizational team, and is fundamental in gaining the trust of clients and customers.

Networking and a Q&A session will follow. Staff from the School of Continuing Studies will also be on hand to help answer questions about the school and its programs.

All attendees will receive a special offer of 10 per cent off of their School of Continuing Studies certificate program registration fee.

Representatives from CPA will be present to answer questions and run a raffle to win a $25 Starbucks gift card. Refreshments will be served. RSVP here.
