International Women’s Day has been observed since the early 1900s. No one government, NGO, charity, corporation, academic institution, women’s network or media hub is solely responsible for International Women’s Day – it has been an effort by many on a global scale. International Women’s Day was designed to bring awareness for unity, celebration, reflection and advocacy for the transformation of women’s lives.

The event is presented in partnership with Lassonde School of Engineering, Office of Alumni Relations and the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies.
