A panel of experts from York University will be the featured speakers at a discussion titled “EngAGING ideas: Innovations in Long-term Care” in a new speaker series called Aging in the City. It takes place June 21 from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
The series, hosted by the Faculty of Health’s York University Centre for Aging Care Research and Education (YUCARE), critically examines key issues for aging equity, including quality care and work in long-term care; the social determinants of health and aging; and thinking through issues related to aging, diversity and difference.
Featured speakers for this discussion include:
• Liane Ginsburg – associate professor in the School of Health Policy and Management
• Hannah Wong – associate professor in the School of Health Policy and Management
• Tamara Daly – associate professor in the school of Health Policy and Management, and director of YUCARE
The discussion will be facilitated by Marina Morrow.
This series contributes to how we think about and understand Toronto as a World Health Organization “Age Friendly City,” and is meant to bring awareness to aging equity, social determinants and challenges of health, aging and long-term care.
This event is open to anyone, and takes place at Beeton Hall Events Centre located at the Toronto Reference Library’s Main Floor at 789 Yonge St.
The speaker series is co-sponsored by York University’s School of Health Policy and Management and York University Centre for Aging Care Research and Education.
