The Faculty of Science is hosting its 2018 Undergraduate Research Conference on Aug. 7. While the majority of students attending and presenting their research will be from the Faculty of Science, the conference will also include summer research students from the Faculties of Health, Liberal Arts & Professional Studies and Glendon.
“The event is an excellent opportunity for students to present their summer research projects, practice science communication, and meet and learn from other students,” said Jennifer Steeves, associate dean of Research and Graduate Education in the Faculty of Science.
Students will be sharing their work at the conference through oral and poster presentations. They include those who received Dean’s Undergraduate Research Awards from the Faculty of Science or Undergraduate Student Research Awards from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) to conduct summer research projects.
The York University community is invited to attend the conference, which will be held in the New Student Centre, 2nd Floor, Convention Centre, on Aug. 7 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
