Be a Global Ambassador with York International

If you have studied, worked or volunteered abroad during your studies, you know how transformative education abroad experiences can be and how much they contribute to academic and career development. What you may not know is that only 3.1 per cent of full-time Canadian undergraduate university students take part in an education abroad experience annually. By becoming a Global Ambassador, you can help York International  make education abroad part of the university experience of more York University students.

Last year’s Global Ambassador team

The Global Ambassador Program (GAP) is a York International initiative that supports the enhanced promotion of global learning programs at York University by engaging previous student exchange and global internship participants. As a global ambassador you will promote the value of an international experience in a globalized world by participating in info sessions, classroom visits, chats, and much more. The program offers an opportunity for you to share your passion for cultures and languages and tell other students about the global opportunities available at the University and the support – including financial – offered through York International.

The commitment is approximately three hours a week starting in September. Global Ambassadors will receive a stipend of $250 per semester and a certificate of recognition.

Applications are due by Aug. 9 at 11:59pm. To apply, visit https://bit.ly/2LphF3X.
