The Faculty of Science will host its 2018 Undergraduate Research Conference on Aug. 7, with students from the Faculty of Science, as well as summer research students from the Faculties of Health, Liberal Arts and Professional Studies (LA&PS) and Glendon Campus attending and presenting their research.
“The event is an excellent opportunity for students to present their summer research projects, practise science communication, and meet and learn from other students,” said Jennifer Steeves, associate dean of research and graduate education in the Faculty of Science.
Students will be sharing their work at the conference through oral and poster presentations. The participating students include those who received Dean’s Undergraduate Research Awards from the Faculty of Science or Undergraduate Student Research Awards from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) to conduct summer research projects.
The York University community is invited to attend the conference, which will be held in the New Student Centre, second floor, Convention Centre, on Aug. 7 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
