Budding young scientists will enjoy York University’s Science Saturdays!

Offered by Science Engagement Programs at York University, York Science Saturdays returns Oct. 13 with a new and interesting series of programs. Using an interactive, hands-on approach to learning, students in Grades 3 to 8 explore hot topics in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).

Students enjoy Science Saturday activities

Programs are separated into Junior (grades 3/4/5) and Senior (grades 6/7/8) sections and will run during the following dates. Students may sign up for multiple programs or only one program at a time. Classes are limited to 20 students, so register early!

The fall 2018 programs offered are:

Session 1: Oct. 13, 20 and 27

Morning: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

  • Science Variety Pack Junior (Grade 3/4/5)
  • Code with Kids! The Digital Brain Senior (Grade 6/7/8)

Afternoon: 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

  • Code with Kids! The Digital Brain Junior (Grade 3/4/5)
  • Science Variety Pack Senior (Grade 6/7/8)

Session 2: Nov. 3, 10 and 17

Morning: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

  • Science Variety Pack Junior (Grade 3/4/5)
  • Code with Kids! Computer Graphics Senior (Grade 6/7/8)

Afternoon: 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

  • Code with Kids! Computer Graphics Junior (Grade 3/4/5)
  • Science Variety Pack Senior (Grade 6/7/8)

Program Fee: $195.00/program
