The pledge drive makes up the bulk of the funds raised within the York Cares United Way campaign. Organizers are at the mid-way point of the campaign and staff and faculty have done a great job so far to help raise more than 40 per cent of the $180,000 York Cares fundraising goal.
“We still need your help in reaching our fundraising goal, so that the United Way can continue to fund local organizations making a difference in the lives of our friends, families, neighbours and colleagues,” says Mandi Hickman, the York Cares Campaign employee lead.
“On Nov. 21, staff and faculty will receive an email from the United Way with a personalized link that will allow them to make an easy payroll deduction or credit card payment,” says Hickman. “Please consider making a donation today. Please email yucares@yorku.ca if you have not received your email or would like us to send it again.”
The York Cares United Way Campaign closes Nov. 30. Each contribution is important and makes a real difference in the communities where York University community members live, work and play.
