Each spring, York University's president and the vice-president research and innovation take the opportunity to acknowledge York’s research award winners and recognize the remarkable achievements of York’s community over the past year.
The 2022 York University Research Awards Celebration takes place on Tuesday, April 19 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. EST and will be live-streamed on YouTube. During the event, the recipients of the President's Awards will be announced. The awards recognize outstanding achievement among York’s community of researchers and recognize emerging scholars, senior scholars and highly impactful research.
York researchers − recognized pioneers in their fields − are deeply committed to advancing innovative research projects across the vast spectrum of disciplines for the social, economic, cultural, environmental and other well-being of society.
The York University Research Awards recognize the contributions of researchers from all faculties and schools, and in areas including Indigenous knowledge, global health, vision science and space exploration and give praise to their contributions to art, and for mobilizing research to effect positive change in their communities.
The 2022 awards also recognize York University researchers for their prominent role in better understanding the impacts of COVID-19.
