Complete Slips, Trips and Falls Prevention training by Oct. 1

Earlier this year, York University launched Slips, Trips and Falls Prevention training on YU Learn. Slips, trips and falls are among the most common causes of injuries reported at the University. This self-paced, online training is designed to help prevent workplace injuries and share safe work practices.

Slips, Trips and Falls Prevention training is mandatory for all employees (leaders, staff, faculty and instructors) and must be completed by Oct. 1.

Important details: 

  • Course name: Slips, Trips, and Falls Prevention. 
  • Training platform: YU Learn
  • Length: approximately 15 minutes. 
  • Requirement: mandatory for all York U leaders, staff, faculty and instructors. 
  • Completion deadline: Oct. 1, 2024. 

To access the training, register on YU Learn using your employee Passport York credentials. Click “Register” and then select the “Access Course” button. The course will remain on your YU Learn dashboard until successfully completed. After finishing, it will record the completion date in the Required Courses section of the My Learning History tab.
