Dear colleagues:
Further to the announcement I shared earlier in spring 2024 about Carol McAulay’s plans to retire, I am pleased to announce that after an extensive and competitive executive search, Narin Kishinchandani will be joining us as York’s next vice-president finance and administration. Narin will begin his five-year term starting Nov. 1 and running until Oct. 31, 2029.
Narin Kishinchandani is a seasoned finance executive with more than 25 years of experience in finance leadership, strategic planning and administration, having held pivotal roles across various sectors, including education, energy and public administration. His comprehensive expertise spans corporate finance, process transformation and governance, making him an exceptional addition to our leadership team.
Narin worked at Enbridge Inc. for over 16 years, leading up to vice-president of finance roles, followed by superintendent of finance, business roles with Calgary Catholic School District and, most recently, with Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board in Ontario. His experience in these diverse roles has influenced strategic direction, enhanced enterprise risk management and driven innovative tactical solutions in the organizations he served.
Narin holds multiple professional certifications, including accounting designations in Canada (CPA), the United States (CPA) and in India (CA). He earned his MBA from Syracuse University in the U.S. and holds a bachelor of commerce from Mumbai University.
As we welcome Narin, I wish to once again express my gratitude to Carol for her dedicated service to York University over the years.
Sincerely,
Rhonda Lenton
