Oakville’s Mercedes Isaza Clunie was recognized with the RBC Emerging Playwright Award on Oct. 28.

An Oakville woman has received national recognition for her work as a playwright.

Mercedes Isaza Clunie took home the RBC Emerging Playwright Award during the Playwrights Guild of Canada Tom Hendry Awards, which took place in Toronto on Monday, Oct. 28.
