
York University community members are invited to play a vital role in the operations of the institution’s Well-being Strategy through the formation of a new Well-being Steering Committee.
Committee members will meet quarterly for 1.5-hour meetings, and an estimated two hours of preparation work estimated ahead of the meeting that includes the review of relevant documents.
The responsibilities of the Well-being Steering Committee will be to provide input on:
- strategy governance and oversight;
- decision making and program content review;
- transformation through working groups;
- engagement and outreach;
- risk management;
- progress, reporting and evaluation; and
- advocacy.
The Well-being Steering Committee will consist of 18 seats and reflect the diverse representation and perspectives of the York community. Individuals who are passionate about well-being and are eager to contribute their time and expertise to support the University community are invited to apply. Committee members will play a crucial role in helping York to create a positive and inclusive environment for all students, staff, faculty and instructors.
Those interested in joining the Well-being Steering Committee should complete this form by April 23. Applicants will be asked to share a brief statement outlining their interest and relevant experience or skills.
