Make an impact, have a say in the future of York’s well-being

York University community members are invited to play a vital role in the operations of the institution’s Well-being Strategy through the formation of a new Well-being Steering Committee.

Committee members will meet quarterly for 1.5-hour meetings, and an estimated two hours of preparation work estimated ahead of the meeting that includes the review of relevant documents.

The responsibilities of the Well-being Steering Committee will be to provide input on:

  • strategy governance and oversight;
  • decision making and program content review;
  • transformation through working groups;
  • engagement and outreach;
  • risk management;
  • progress, reporting and evaluation; and
  • advocacy.

The Well-being Steering Committee will consist of 18 seats and reflect the diverse representation and perspectives of the York community. Individuals who are passionate about well-being and are eager to contribute their time and expertise to support the University community are invited to apply. Committee members will play a crucial role in helping York to create a positive and inclusive environment for all students, staff, faculty and instructors.

Those interested in joining the Well-being Steering Committee should complete this form by April 23. Applicants will be asked to share a brief statement outlining their interest and relevant experience or skills.
