At a ratification meeting held on Nov. 4, 2008, York custodial, grounds and maintenance staff represented by CUPE Local 1356 voted overwhelmingly in favour of the memorandum of agreement for a renewal collective agreement with a three-year term. Tne new agreement included a 9.25 per cent wage increase over three years, plus other contract improvements.
