On Friday, scholars and practitioners will exchange ideas and discuss experiences about measuring health care performance at a symposium titled What Gets Measured Gets Managed.
Presented by the Atkinson School of Administrative Studies and the Atkinson Research Office, the symposium opens with a keynote address by Ontario Auditor General Jim McCarter (right) on results of provincial hospital audits. A York grad, McCarter (BA ’74, MBA ’79) also taught part-time at Atkinson for several years (see YorkU magazine February 2006).
Three sessions follow on measuring hospital and physicians’ performance and on the importance of data.
