As a result of an election at large, Billy Gyamfi has been nominated by full-time non-academic employees for membership on the Board of Governors.

Several candidates received substantial support and the final tally resulted in a win for Gyamfi. After confirmation by the board, he will begin serving his term effective July 1, 2009.
Gyamfi is a custodian within Custodial Services, Campus Services & Business Operations, and has been employed at York University for more than 17 years. He will join Debbie Jamieson who was elected and confirmed last year for her third term as a non-academic employee on the board.
