York’s Transportation Services will hold a Transportation Fair on Thursday, Sept. 17, where York community members can find information about all of the University’s transportation options.
The fair is designed to help York commuters use alternatives to the single-occupant vehicle and encourage them to carpool, take public transit, bike, walk or in-line skate. The goal is to reduce the demand for parking at York by increasing awareness of alternative, sustainable methods of transportation.
Representatives from GO Transit, the TTC, York Region Transit/VIVA, Brampton Transit, Zipcar, City of Toronto and Smart Commute – North Toronto, Vaughan, will be at the fair and available to answer questions and to provide maps and schedules.
The Transportation Fair will take place from 10am to 3pm in York Lanes on York’s Keele campus.
