University Information Technology (UIT) is hosting its annual Halloween United Way Fundraiser on Friday, Oct. 30. York community members are invited to come to the Steacie Science & Engineering Building to view the results of the contest.
Pumpkins will be on display from 12 to 2pm on Friday, and visitors can purchase a ballot to vote for the best pumpkin. Ballots are $2 each and are available in advance by contacting Valerie Peticca, manager of finance & administration, UIT, at peticca@yorku.ca. Ballots will also be available on site the day of the event. All ballots cast will be entered in a draw for a chance to win gift certificates and one of the pumpkins.
All proceeds will go towards supporting York’s 2009 United Way Campaign.
