The top five candidates for mayor – George Smitherman, Rob Ford, Sarah Thomson, Joe Pantalone and Rocco Rossi – are expected to go head-to-head on issues of finance and transportation at York University this week.

The debate, the second in a three-part series dubbed Toronto Debates 2010, will take place Wednesday, Sept. 22, at 7pm in the Tribute Communities Recital Hall, 112 Accolade East Building, Keele campus.

In the debate, titled Finance, Transportation, and Managing the City, the mayoral candidates will address the question: Facing a budget deficit, what will our city’s next mayor do to improve the municipal services that matter most to Torontonians?
