York Security Services is informing the community of an attempted robbery that occurred on Shoreham Drive near Murray Ross Parkway on Tuesday night.
At approximately 10:30pm Dec. 7, a York student was leaving the Keele campus on foot when he was confronted by an unknown male. Two other individuals then appeared and surrounded the student.
The three suspects demanded to know what valuables the student had in his school bag. The student cooperated by showing the contents to one of the suspects, but nothing was taken. The three then left the scene without taking anything or otherwise injuring the student. The student returned to campus and reported the incident to York Security, which in turn notified the Toronto Police Service.
The three suspects were described to police as:
- Male, black, medium build, 5-foot-11, clean shaven, wearing a black toque and dark clothing.
- Male, black, 5-foot-9 to 5-foot-11, medium build, wearing all dark clothing.
- Male, black, 5-foot-9 to 5-foot-11, medium build, wearing all dark clothing.
