Robbery reported near Vanier Residence

At approximately 7:15pm on Friday, Feb. 11, a male student reported he had been robbed on the walkway on the south side of Vanier Residence.

The student reported that two males approached him, took his cellphone and $30 in cash and ran south towards York Lanes parking lot. One of the suspects indicated he had a handgun, although no weapon was seen. There were no injuries.

York Security is assisting the Toronto Police Service in the investigation of the incident.

The suspects are described as follows:

Suspect No. 1 – Male, black, 5-foot-9, average build, last seen wearing a black hoodie, dark pants and a black bandana.

Suspect No. 2 – Male, black, 6-foot2, average build, last seen wearing a black hoodie.
