The ways in which undergraduate students learn – and want to learn – are changing, according to speakers at an upcoming event celebrating academic innovation at York University.
On May 9, you are invited to join a celebration of innovation in teaching and learning at York University. You will hear colleagues discussing how a number of innovative eLearning, experiential education and first-year transition projects are improving the student experience at York.
Learn how they are using Skype to connect with students in a Burmese refugee camp, easing first-year students into university with an online enrolment appointment and course-based peer mentoring, and more.
The event will take place Wednesday, May 9, from 8:30am to 4pm, in the Tribute Communities Recital Hall, Accolade East Building on York’s Keele campus. You can register for one or both of the half-day sessions, there is no cost and the day promises to be inspiring, challenging and energizing.
Organizers ask that you RSVP for the event to ensure adequate seating. Click here to access the online registration form. Act early to avoid disappointment.
