Alan Borovoy to talk about policing and the G20 Monday

Alan Borovoy, general counsel emeritus of the Canadian Civil Liberties Association, will discuss policing and the G20 at a lecture Monday at Glendon campus.

His talk, “Policing and the G20”, will take place March 21 at 10:30am in the Senate Chamber, York Hall, Glendon campus.

Borovoy was general counsel of the Canadian Civil Liberties Association from 1968 until 2009. He is the author of The New Anti-Liberals (Canadian Scholars’ Press, 1999), Uncivil Obedience: The Tactics and Tales of a Democratic Agitator (Lester Publishing, 1999), and When Freedoms Collide: The Case for Our Civil Liberties (Lester & Orpen Denny’s, 1988), which was nominated for the Governor General’s Award in 1988. He is also a part-time lecturer in Glendon’s Canadian Studies Program.
