York Boulevard bus-only access road closed starting June 12

The York Boulevard bus-only access road into the Harry W. Arthurs Common will be closed west of James Gillies Street from early Tuesday, June 12 and reopening Monday, July 30 at 5pm. This closure will allow for construction of a road bridge to span over the future excavation of the York University Station site. During these two months, both Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) buses and GO Transit buses will be temporarily diverted.

Beginning June 12, from 7am to 11pm, paid duty officers will help ensure safe pedestrian and vehicular traffic flow at the intersections of The Pond Road at Ian Macdonald Boulevard and James Gillies Street. Flag persons will be stationed at the two ends of the bus-only access road to direct buses to the diversion route. Due to the temporary bus diversion, increased traffic congestion will be experienced along this route. Transit delays may be experienced during peak times. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
