The Art Gallery of York University (AGYU) will launch its latest publication today, FASTWÜRMS Donky@Ninja@Witch: A Living Retrospective.
The launch will take place from 7 to 9pm at Paul Petro Contemporary Art, 980 Queen St. W., Toronto.
FASTWÜRMS Donky@Ninja@Witch, includes essays by Emelie Chhangur, AGYU assistant director and curator, Jon Davies and Sally McKay, an introduction by Philip Monk, AGYU director and curator, and a love letter by Andrew Harwood.
A catalogue for the Donky@Ninja@Witch exhibition by FASTWÜRMS that was held at the AGYU in 2007, this hardcover book covers the inception of the work, the creation of the exhibition and the implications of the FASTWÜRMS corpus. It is designed by Lisa Kiss and contains 208 illustrations.
The launch happens in conjunction with the final weekend of Sandy Plotnikoff’s Foil Problem and Stephen Andrews’ Un pequeno parte de algo mas grande. Details for these exhibitions can be found by visiting the Paul Petro website.
The AGYU is in the Accolade East Building. Gallery hours are: Monday to Friday, 10am to 4pm; Wednesday, 10am to 8pm; Sunday, from noon to 5pm; and closed Saturday. Admission to everything is free.
