On June 29, 2011 York University and the York University Staff Association (YUSA) began labour negotiations to renew the YUSA Unit -1 collective agreement. During the month of July and early August the parties met to bargain key issues. On Aug. 6, the parties successfully reached a tentative agreement.
The ratification vote will be held on Thursday, Aug. 18, between noon and 2pm at the Tait McKenzie Building, main gym. Transportation will be arranged and further details on this will be communicated by YUSA to its members. Results of the vote will be communicated on Aug. 19.
