Nurse, inventor and business professor, Anne Snowdon, will talk at York about the tough challenges faced by the Canadian health-care system and some of the ways in which the system can be improved.
The talk, “‘Rethinking Health’ Dialogue”, will take place Feb 7, from 5:30 to 7pm, in the Seymour Schulich Building, Private Dining Room, Keele campus. The event is being held in collaboration with the Schulich 
Health Care & Biotechnology Forum (HCBF), moderated by Professor Brenda Zimmerman. Everyone is welcome to attend and refreshments will be provided.

By rethinking health, targeted changes will continue to make our health-care system a competitive advantage for Canada, says Snowdon, who has developed inter-professional programs for health professionals since 2006. She is known for her research on injury prevention for children and families travelling in vehicles.
Snowdon is an adjunct professor at the University of Western Ontario’s Richard Ivey School of Business, where she is chair of the Ivey International Centre for Health Innovation. She is also a professor at the University of Windsor, cross-appointed to the Odette School of Business and the Faculty of Engineering.
The event is hosted by HCBF and the Graduate Research Association of Students in Public Health (GRASP), and sponsored by York’s Faculty of Health and Schulich School of Business.
The cost of admittance is $5, or free for GRASP and HCBF members.
