Road resurfacing, sidewalk and curb installation work related to the Pan Am Stadium construction will take place on the east arm of Thompson Road, between the Life Sciences Building and the new Pan Am Stadium, starting Monday, Dec. 2. Work will commence at 7am and finish at 5pm on a daily basis. Completion of the project is anticipated to be Friday, Dec. 13.
How will this impact the York community?
- Thompson Road will remain open during all of the above activities; however, due to the nature of the work there may be some traffic delays for people accessing the southeast entrance to the Life Sciences Building and the Petrie Science & Engineering Building loading dock.
- The contractor performing the work will be available at all times to assist with directing pedestrian and vehicle traffic safely through the site.
- Access to Tait McKenzie and Bethune College will not be affected.
When travelling throughout the construction zone, please watch for and obey all traffic signs and traffic control personnel for your safety.
