According to TopManagmentDegrees.com, Schulich’s “sleek, glass-fronted complex”, which opened in 2003, “gained praise for its meticulously built glass, wood and concrete interior as well as for its spacious floral areas and terraces.” The website also noted that Schulich “scooped the prestigious Governor General’s Medal in Architecture back in 2006, with the award’s jury calling it ‘a combination of grandness and sophistication that is appropriate for a school of business.’” The Schulich School of Business was designed by Hariri Pontarini Architects and Robbie/Young + Wright Architects.

When the Schulich School first opened a decade ago, The Globe and Mail described the new facility as “a competitive edge in the world market for top students, faculty and research.” The Financial Times of London cited Schulich as one of a new breed of 21st-century business schools in an article that explored how new business school facilities are changing the way business is taught.
