Due to necessary repairs to York University’s utility infrastructure, Severn Road, north of the York diesel fill station, will be partially blocked by a trailer-mounted crane on Friday, Jan. 10, from 7am to 8pm. This work is to accommodate the installation of Cooling Tower #4 North Gearbox.
How will this impact the York community?
- Vehicle and pedestrian traffic around the work area should be avoided if possible.
- Some noise and vibration in the immediate area can be expected.
- The contractor performing the work will be available at all times to assist with vehicle and pedestrian movement around the site as required.
When travelling throughout the construction zone, please watch for and obey all traffic signs and or traffic control personnel for your safety and convenience.
Additional bulletins will be distributed if impact on the campus or status of the project changes.
