Yao Graham, coordinator of Third World Network-Africa, one of the continent’s leading policy and campaigning organizations on economic justice and the environment, will talk about extractive economies Thursday.
Graham’s talk, “From Boom to Bust: Implications of the Commodity Crash for Extractive Economies in the Global South,” will take place April 9 at 5:30pm at Friends House, 60 Lowther St., Toronto. Everyone is welcome.
Third World Network-Africa conducts research and advocacy work on issues such as resource extraction, climate change and development. It has founded a pan-African network called the African Initiative on Mining, Environment & Society.
