York University President and Vice-Chancellor Mamdouh Shoukri has issued the following invitation to the York community:
Join us at our annual Town Hall meeting on Oct. 7 for A State of the University Address. This is an opportunity to bring together members of the York University community for an interactive dialogue on issues of importance to us all.
This year for the first time, the Town Hall meeting will be preceded by a Town Hall Community Café, an informal reception where all community members are invited for light refreshments and the chance to spend some time together.
At the Town Hall meeting, I will be joined by our Vice-Presidents to discuss the changes at York, recent successes, and the opportunities and challenges moving forward. Following the presentation, there will be an opportunity for the community to ask questions.
For the Glendon community, the Office of the Principal will host a viewing of the Town Hall live stream in the BMO Conference Centre at Glendon Hall from 11am to 12:30pm.
