Seventy-two Grade 9 students tagged along with a parent or sponsor who works at York University on Wednesday, during the annual Take Our Kids to Work program.
The event allows York University staff and faculty members to bring their high-school aged children, or sponsor participants, to campus to observe their workday activities.
Students got to take a few breaks from the workday, and were invited to attend an information session and campus tour at 10:30am. At noon, students met up with their parents/sponsors in the Underground Restaurant for a pizza lunch provided by the Office of the Vice-President Finance & Administration.
According to organizers, the turnout surpassed 2014 numbers.
