The Graduate Research Association of Students in Public Health (GRASP) is currently accepting abstracts for its second annual research symposium, “Innovations in Public Health”, scheduled on Wednesday, May 18 at York University.
Undergraduate and graduate students from universities across Ontario will have an opportunity to showcase their interdisciplinary spirit in exploring multiple dimensions in the study of health.
Student researchers from all disciplines are invited to submit an abstract to present (i.e., poster session or 15-minute oral presentation) at the symposium. Both undergraduate and graduate papers will be considered. There are limited funding opportunities available for undergraduate poster presentations.
Topics can include but are not limited to natural sciences, nursing, psychology, neuroscience, kinesiology, computer science, biostatistics, engineering, healthy policy, law, education, and biology.
Submissions must include:
- your name and area of study
- e-mail address and phone number (mobile)
- title and abstract not exceeding 250 words
- reason why you deserve funding (for undergraduates who are preparing a poster)
Abstracts should be sent to graspyu@gmail.com no later than March 14.
Attendance will be open to all students, faculty and staff from different universities at no charge. The symposium schedule and location will be promoted and posted on the GRASP website (www.yorku.ca/grasp). Acceptance letters will be sent via email approximately three weeks after the deadline for submission.
Audio and video equipment will be provided at the symposium for presenters using PowerPoint.
