March Break Camp at Science Explorations returns to York University from March 14 to March 18, 2016! Registration is now open.
Each day, participants in Grades 3-8 will be immersed in a variety of exciting and unique activities and experiments exploring elements of science and engineering.
This year we will be offering the following courses:
Junior Science & Engineering (Grade 3/4)
Every day is different! Campers will construct rockets, make rainbow paper, and learn how to make sparkling geodes! Junior campers will explore the Ontario Science Curriculum by investigating different scientific properties and participating in many interactive hands-on activities!
Intermediate Science & Engineering (Grade 5/6)
Campers in Intermediate Science and Engineering will learn to make photocopy fluid and transfer different images to various materials. They will investigate properties in science and engineering, as learned in the Ontario Science Curriculum, by designing and prototyping devices that are used in everyday life.
Senior Science & Engineering (Grade 7/8)
New technological marvels are discovered every day! Campers in Senior Science and Engineering will explore the Ontario Science Curriculum by constructing Judobots, making solar-powered photovoltaic cars, investigating properties of chemical reactions and so much more!
All curricula are developed and delivered by undergraduate and graduate students through hands-on, interactive, and innovative activities developed here at the Faculty of Science at York University.
Fees:
The fee for the week is $275 per camper. This includes pre-camp care from 8 to 9am and after-camp care from 4 to 5pm. Extended after-camp care is available from 5 to 6pm for an additional $25.
Camp Location:
Camp activities, experiments, and demonstrations will take place on York University’s Keele Campus. Campers will be supervised at all times by Science Explorations staff.
