Steve Wuthmann, a senior HR executive with high-level corporate experience in organizations such as Tim Hortons, Parmalat Canada and Purolator, is featured as the first guest speaker in the inaugural Career Growth series presented by the School of Continuing Studies. The Career Growth sessions are a new series of free events that will feature distinguished guest speakers providing advice and insight on how to advance your career.
The first event will take place on Thursday, Jan. 26 from 630 to 830pm in the Renaissance room, 001 Vanier College.
With more than 30 years of experience in human resources, corporate affairs and operations, Wuthmann will explain how to stand out to employers among a sea of other candidates, to get hired and promoted. Currently, he is a senior associate consultant providing executive coaching support to corporate leaders. Wuthmann also serves on the advisory council for the full-time post-degree and the part-time, online Certificates in Human Resources Management.
“In today’s highly competitive environment, companies require employees who can add value and contribute very quickly and effectively,” said Wuthmann. “Business now moves too fast to allow long ramp up times for new team members.”
Guests attending the event will receive a 15 per cent discount to apply to their registration in a School of Continuing Studies program.
Staff from the School of Continuing Studies will also be on hand to help answer any questions on the programs and the school in general.
Refreshment will be served.
