Update on Project Benchmark: Outstanding first-year results

Project Benchmark was launched at York on June 26. The project involved collecting information from across the University to establish baseline data, and a basis upon which to benchmark York against other universities, as well as make evidence-based decisions about enhancing our organizational structure and support services.

Our goal is to better understand – at an organizational level – how we deliver services, where those services are, and how we might enhance our service delivery to improve the faculty, student and staff experience.

As of today, York has achieved a 99 per cent completion rate on both the staff and supplier collections – an excellent first-year outcome. We are now working to reach our 100 per cent goal on data collection and complete the validation and quality control process.

In the fall, we will be sharing plans and timelines for launching Phase 2 of Project Benchmark – York’s Service Effectiveness Survey. We will continue to keep you updated as the project progresses.
