York’s football game against McMaster will be televised nationally on The Score Television Network, Cable 53, Saturday, Oct. 19, 2pm. Teams are #2 McMaster Marauders (7-0) at York Yeomen (5-2).
Jim McLarty, sport and recreation information officer in the School of Kinesiology and Health Science, said York has been the surprise team this OUA football season. “Currently in fourth place, York boasts a winning record of 5-2 and is on the verge of breaking into the Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) Top Ten list. Allowing the fewest points scored against them in the OUA, York’s defense is led by Jeet Rana (#1 in OUA Quarterback Sacks) and Dennis Mavrin (#3 in OUA Unassisted Tackles). They will be looking to stop the most productive offense in the league in the Marauders and their star running back Kyle Pyear (#1 in OUA and CIS Rushing).”
