After a two-year hiatus, Science Engagement Programs is bringing back the March Break fun. Based out of the Faculty of Science, Science Engagement Programs offers science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) programming to young people enrolled in Grades 3 to 12.
This March Break, the Science Engagement team is launching a new format using virtual workshops. Now parents or guardians can create a custom program that suits their schedule and is tailored to their child(ren)’s interests. Each workshop is live, guided and will allow participants to get involved in hands-on activities.
The programs are open to young people enrolled in Grades 3 to 8, high school students may apply to volunteer. The science camps run from March 14 to 18, see the Science explorations website for the complete schedule. Each workshop offers 1.5 hours of group instruction with morning, early afternoon and late afternoon workshops available. There is a fee of $45 for each workshop, with a discount for registering in three or more workshops. Each participant will receive a STEM activity bag.
