To make a difference for local communities, York community members are invited to join GetUP 2022, United Way Greater Toronto’s virtual physical challenge, which is now in its third year.
Participants can GetUP to raise much needed funds for local people and families experiencing poverty by performing an activity of choice for 300 minutes over a 10-day period. Funds raised through the challenge support the United Way of Greater Toronto’s network of 300 local agencies. Activities can include, but are not limited to, running, jumping, skipping, dancing, biking, yoga and more.
This network is helping to meet the immediate needs of the community and funds raised during this campaign will help reduce local poverty. This year’s York Cares United Way Campaign runs from Nov. 1 to 30, with the goal of raising $150,000.
