Join Smart Commute – Black Creek and York University’s Security, Parking & Transportation Services for their fourth annual free bike lunch and car-free day celebrations tomorrow from 11am to 1pm.
On Sept. 22, meet professional Ironman triathlete, amputee and clean air champion Marc Martel. He will speak about his experiences as an athlete, teacher and coach. He will outline how his physical challenges relate to the challenge of improving our air quality through transportation services.

The event will take place by the south entrance of the Ross Building, across from the Health, Nursing & Environmental Studies Building. Members of the York community are invited to bring their bikes for free minor tune-ups, maintenance and adjustments by the BikeMobile. There will be free bagels and refreshments offered to participants.

York University’s Security, Parking and Transportation Services has partnered with the Smart Commute Association of Black Creek to reduce traffic congestion and smog by improving commuter options, including cycling to York University.
