Central to the mandate of the Office of the Ombudsperson & Centre for Human Rights at York University is the provision of education, training and information on issues of human rights and administrative fairness. To understand what the needs of the University community are with respect to education, training and information on human rights and administrative fairness, the office will be conducting a York Community Human Rights, Fairness and Equity Training Needs Assessment session today, from 10 to 11:30am, in S538, Ross Bldg., located on the Keele campus. For those members of the York community who are unable to attend, the session will be repeated on Thursday, Feb. 23, from 2 to 3:30pm, in S538.
The needs assessment will provide important information to the Office of the Ombudsperson and Centre for Human Rights that will be used to develop an education plan, both at a strategic and operational level.
The assessment will be conducted through personal interviews, focus groups and an online questionnaire. All responses submitted through the questionnaire are anonymous as the questionnaire is conducted using Survey Monkey technology. There will be no personal information retained on file and all information collected will be kept confidential. The information collected will be used solely for the purposes of informing the development of our strategic plan which will become public once completed.
