The team of Laura Paradiso, Serena Marchesano and Milan Mladjenovic defeated some of Canada’s brightest marketing students to claim the national title. Participating teams presented their creative marketing campaign for Lancôme Body Care to a panel of executives and journalists. Teams had to devise a new product range with a complete packaging and communications campaign.

The international finals will take place on June 14-16. The global marketing competition attracts students from over 100 schools in more than 30 countries.

Schulich Dean Dezsö J. Horváth said, “The team’s victory is a testament to both the high calibre of business learning here at Schulich, as well as to the excellence of our students and our marketing faculty.”

In 2004, a team of Schulich International BBA students won the national title and then went on to win the international top prize in Paris. The team of Yasna Beheshti, Pooja Subramanian and Anna Waskow won the global competition with their innovative marketing plan for a new line of nighttime skincare products. All three of the Schulich graduates are now working at L’Oréal Canada.

And last year, a team of Schulich MBAs won first place in the L’Oréal e-Strat Challenge, an online national marketing competition. The MBA team of Allan Yu, Richard Kim and Rosana Yanez beat out 180 teams from across Canada to capture the e-Strat title.
